Katie Grierson hopes to one day become a beam of light. Her writing considers desert ecologies and family history especially as it relates to nuclear testing outside of her hometown of Las Vegas. She has been recognized by the Academy of American Poets College Prizes, the National YoungArts Foundation, the Juniper Summer Writing Institute, and has received scholarships and fellowships from The Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing and the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers' Conference. You can find her work in the Indiana Review and wildness, among other places.
